After more than twenty years of teaching traditional craft around the country and in foreign lands, Jarrod Dahl was primed to start a craft school. With his experience and connections to craftspeople near and far and his wife Jazmin’s background in educational institutions—organizing and promoting events and workshops, they had the skills needed to make it happen. In 2021 they transformed Pete’s Third Street Repair into Woodspirit School of Traditional Craft in Ashland, WI. Together they organize a wide variety of courses and events that empower people to learn new skills, practice old skills, connect with natural materials and create with their hands.
Jarrod & Jazmin appreciate the joys of life. You might see them sailing or rowing in the Chequamegon Bay in their wooden dory, The Pearl, playing songs on accordion and stand up bass, traveling to foreign lands in search of craft knowledge, or in their backyard enjoying good food and cocktails.
