Our Third Season of Craft Classes Begins!
Greetings from an almost Spring on the shores of Lake Superior, Chequamegon Bay, Northern Wisconsin. Birds are flocking to the area and peeper frogs have started serenading the evenings. We recently hosted two wonderful classes and look forward to many more this summer.
Danish Cord Stool
I (Jazmin) had the privilege of joining the first class of the season making post and rung stools with Dawson Moore. The class was extremely fun and challenging. From spokeshaving our rungs to drilling, gluing up to weaving Danish cord seats, each methodical step demanded just a little more than the one before. Classmates encouraged and celebrated each other, making even the hard work enjoyable. The class included beginners and professionals, yet all students learned something new and took home a fine piece of furniture.
Bird Carving Song Birds of Lake Superior
Students had a great time diving deep into the world of bird carving.
